Moira is the founder and Professional Director of South Australian based Aboto. She began her career as a clinical psychologist and still works part time in that area. However, her career has developed from clinical psychology to the area of occupational health and she takes an evidence based approach to assisting organisations to prevent and manage workplace bullying, harassment and other psychological hazards.

Moira has worked as a mediator and conciliator, and was the Manager of the Complaint Handling Section of the South Australian Equal Opportunity Commission before launching Aboto in 2005. She has as postgraduate qualifications in mediation and conflict management. She has undertaken conciliation training with the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission, and is an accredited mediator with LEADR. Moira's PhD is from the University of Adelaide and focuses on the different perspectives of workplace bullying complaints from the targets, the alleged perpetrator and the HR professional's perspective, with the aim of identifying ways in which organisations can better prevent and respond to allegations of bullying.

If your organisation wants to prevent and manage workplace bullying and other psychological hazards, Aboto is your ideal HR partner. We can work with you in a way that is unique to your organisation's needs.

Moira regularly facilitates workshops and masterclasses and conducts presentations throughout Australia on different aspects of preventing and addressing workplace psychological hazards.
