Workplace Conflict

At Aboto we have considerable experience in helping managers and employees manage conflict in the workplace. We have practical experience working with organisations to reduce conflict and we have carried out research into workplace conflict and workplace bullying. Together this means Aboto can advise your organisation on current best practice as well as solutions that work.

It is clear that while healthy debate and conflict can lead to greater ideas and new ways of doing things, disrespectful behaviour and unhealthy conflicts can contribute to poor team morale, breakdown in relationships and the stifling of ideas and innovative thought. This leads to significantly reduced team productivity and unresolved conflcit can escalate into workplace bullying complaints.  It is important this unhealthy conflict is addressed and stopped early. 

As a manager, one of your jobs is to help staff resolve conflicts and to intervene in situations of conflict. Many managers receive little or no conflict resolution training, and are not confident in addressing conflict situations. At Aboto we can help and can develop programs to help you address conflicts in an appropriate and timely manner.  

Conflict also arises when roles and responsibilities are not clear and policies and procedures are non existent or out of date. Aboto can help you identify these issues and address them.
